01 At a glance
02 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the website's owner.
Cookies can be:
- First-party — set by the website you are visiting (in this case, us).
- Third-party — set by another service loaded by the website (for example, an embedded video or analytics tool).
- Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies — stored on your device for a set period, or until you delete them.
03 How we use cookies
We use cookies for a small number of limited purposes:
- To make the Website function correctly — for example, to remember your preference between light and dark modes (if available) or to keep you signed in during a single visit.
- To measure, on an aggregate and anonymous basis, how many people visit the Website and how they move through it, so we can improve content and layout.
We do not use cookies to:
- Serve advertising.
- Build a profile of you across different websites.
- Share your browsing behaviour with advertisers or data brokers.
04 Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the Website to function. They enable basic features such as page navigation, security, and accessibility. Because these cookies are essential, they do not require your consent under most privacy laws, and you cannot disable them through our cookie controls. You can still block or delete them through your browser settings, but parts of the Website may not work as a result.
Preference cookies
Preference cookies remember choices you make on the Website — for example, your chosen language, theme, or layout — so you don't have to re-enter them on every visit. These are stored only if you explicitly set a preference.
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Website, on an aggregate and anonymous level. We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool that does not track you across other websites and does not build an advertising profile. These cookies are only set with your consent, where required by applicable law.
Advertising cookies
We do not use advertising cookies.
06 Third-party cookies
Some cookies on the Website may be set by third-party services we use. Each of them is governed by its own privacy and cookie policy, which you should review if you want to know more:
- [ANALYTICS PROVIDER] — for aggregate visitor statistics. See their policy at [URL].
- [HOSTING / CDN PROVIDER] — may set security and performance cookies. See their policy at [URL].
- [EMBED PROVIDER, IF ANY] — for example, if we embed a video player or similar content.
We do not control cookies set by third parties on their own domains. If you interact with embedded content, you may be subject to the privacy and cookie practices of that third party.
07 Similar technologies
In addition to cookies, websites may use other storage and tracking technologies. Where we use any of these, we treat them as cookies for the purposes of this policy and seek consent where required. These may include:
- Local storage — a mechanism that lets a website store small amounts of data in your browser, similar to cookies but without being sent to the server with each request. We may use this to remember preferences.
- Session storage — like local storage but cleared when you close the browser tab.
- Pixel tags — tiny image files used to track whether a page or an email has been viewed. We do not currently use pixel tags for marketing purposes.
08 Cookies & our Apps
Our iOS Apps do not use cookies. The cookie concept is specific to web browsers and does not apply to native mobile apps in the same way.
Our Apps may store data locally on your device (for example, your settings or your App Content) using standard iOS storage mechanisms. They may also use iCloud if you have enabled sync. How these work is described in our Privacy Policy.
09 Your choices
You can control cookies in several ways:
On our Website
Where required by law, we show a cookie notice the first time you visit. You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose which categories to allow. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the footer [if implemented].
In your browser
Most browsers let you view, manage, block, and delete cookies in their settings. You can usually find these controls under "Privacy," "Security," or "Site settings." The exact steps vary by browser:
You can also use private or incognito browsing, which typically clears cookies when you close the window.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to DNT, we currently treat DNT signals as guidance but do not change our behaviour specifically in response to them. Since we do not engage in cross-site tracking or behavioural advertising, this should not significantly affect your privacy when using our Website.
Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, where applicable, by treating it as a valid request to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as defined by California law. As explained in our Privacy Policy, we do not sell or share personal information in that sense.
10 Consent
Where required by applicable law — for example, under the EU ePrivacy rules or the UK PECR — we set non-essential cookies only after you have given consent. Consent is collected through our cookie notice, and you can withdraw it at any time using the controls described above. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing based on your consent before you withdrew it.
Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, as allowed by law, because they are essential for the Website to work.
11 Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, in applicable law, or in our services. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the changes are material, provide additional notice on the Website.
